This journey is the continuation of a story that started sixty years ago when the first fare paying passenger boarded the first daily scheduled flight from London to Paris. Now these stone-age passengers have joined that immense world family who buy 750 million airline tickets every year. As part of that family, they share the same advantages and excitement, and probably some of the same fears and irritations as the rest of us. Certainly, from his new point of view high in the skies the vision of primitive man has been immeasureably widened. For him and for most of us, to travel through the air is the most brilliant piece of magic. His world and our world have been transformed by the miracle of flying.
