Richard Lewis does jobs he needn't do, wastes his own time and that of others, until the pressure gets so great he has a coronary. Only when he arrives at the gates of heaven and is met by St. Peter (Cleese) does he begin to realise the chaos he has caused, the deadlines he has missed, the jobs left undone and the priorities wrongly allocated. Realisation dawns through a series of flashbacks orchestrated by St. Peter, and Richard begs for forgiveness and another chance. Restored to life, Richard returns clutching a list of his eleven deadly organisational sins.
